Frequently Asked Questions
🏡Your Dog's Stay
Where will my dog sleep?  Every dog is evaluated to ensure they're a good fit for our home-style environment. Dogs who enjoy group living are welcome to choose their favorite sleeping spot; whether that's a couch, cozy dog bed, human bed, or another comfortable nook.  Dogs who benefit from more structure rest in spacious indoor kennels furnished with raised beds, blankets, and pillows for a safe, comfortable night's sleep.

Do you use kennels or cages? Yes—but only when they're the safest option.  Kennels may be used during meals, introductions, rest periods, or for dogs who prefer additional structure. All kennels are indoors, climate-controlled, and furnished with raised beds, blankets, and pillows.  Our goal is always to provide as much freedom as safely possible.

How many dogs do you board?  We intentionally keep our boarding program small to provide personalized care.  We typically host no more than seven boarding dogs at one time, allowing every guest to receive individual attention in a calm, uncrowded environment.

What kind of play and exercise will my dog receive?  Every day includes opportunities for outdoor play, fenced yard time, meadow walks, enrichment activities, and seasonal creek adventures.  We never force group interactions. Instead, dogs choose how they'd like to spend their day; whether that's playing with friends, exploring, or relaxing in a quiet space.

Will my dog be supervised? Yes.  Our home-style environment is supported by regular staff supervision, established care routines, and camera monitoring in select areas to provide an additional layer of safety and awareness throughout your dog's stay.

What should I bring?  Please bring your dog's food, any medications, a leash and collar or harness, and any comfort items you'd like them to have. We'll provide bowls, bedding, toys, and plenty of love.

What if my dog doesn't enjoy other dogs? Not every dog enjoys group play—and that's okay.  We'll evaluate your dog's comfort level and create an individualized plan. Many dogs enjoy one-on-one enrichment, walks, and quiet relaxation instead of group activities.

What if my dog has never boarded before?  That's completely normal.  We take introductions slowly and adjust each dog's stay to match their comfort level. Many first-time boarders settle in quickly once they realize they're in a calm, home-like environment.

❤️ Health & Safety
What vaccinations are required? Rabies vaccination is required for all boarding guests.
We also strongly recommend:
  • Bordetella
  • DAPP
  • Leptospirosis
  • Flea prevention
  • Tick prevention
  • Heartworm prevention
These recommendations help protect every dog staying in our care.

Can you administer medications or follow special routines? Absolutely.  We're experienced with medications, specialized feeding schedules, supplements, and maintaining familiar routines—including favorite toys, blankets, bedtime habits, and other comforts from home.

My dog is shy, reactive, or has special needs. Can they still stay?  In many cases, yes.  We welcome dogs with a wide variety of personalities and needs. Introductions are handled slowly and thoughtfully, and care is adjusted to fit each individual dog. Shy, senior, or reactive dogs receive additional space, structure, and one-on-one attention whenever needed.

Can intact dogs board?  Intact males are welcome if they meet our behavioral requirements. Females in heat cannot participate in boarding for the safety and comfort of all guests.

✨ Amenities & Extras
Can my dog be groomed during boarding? Absolutely.  Boarding guests can schedule anything from a nail trim or brush-out to a full grooming appointment. Spa add-ons—including teeth brushing, ear cleaning, bandanas, and transportation services—can also be arranged so your dog goes home refreshed, happy, and pampered.

Will I receive updates?  We may send photo updates during your dog's stay, and every guest goes home with a detailed report card summarizing meals, playtime, rest, enrichment, and overall behavior.

📅 Booking & Policies
Do I need to schedule a Meet & Greet?  We recommend that all new boarding clients begin with a Meet & Greet so we can get to know you and your dog, answer questions, and ensure we're the right fit for one another.  If you're accepted into our boarding program, your Meet & Greet fee is credited toward your first boarding stay.

What if I haven't finalized my travel plans yet?  No problem!  We recommend waiting to reserve your stay until your travel dates are confirmed. If you're still deciding, we're happy to monitor availability and let you know if your preferred dates begin filling up.
